On Sunday, November 1st we collected over 200 pounds of candy! You have made our First Annual Holloween Candy Buy Back a great success! For that, we would like to say, "Thanks for your support!"

Due to a number of calls we have received from our patients and those who have heard about the buy back, we are allowing donations to go to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan through Thursday, November 5th.

A Sweet Way to Make Everyone Smile!

Cavities, or dental caries, is the most prevalent childhood disease today. Cavities are also rampant in adults! 92% of adults ages 20 to 64 have had dental caries in their permanent teeth. Each year across the world, kids consume 2% more sugar than the year before – that's 50 million tons of sugar annually!

But every kid loves Halloween! So do adults! In 2008, the average American consumed 23.8 pounds of candy! Isn't it spooky to know that a large portion of this is attributed to Halloween?

Oak Brook Smiles is excited to announce that we will be offering a fun way to unload some of that unwanted candy that piles up after sorted out the favorites!

The Oak Brook Smiles Halloween Candy Buy Back gives us a way to keep the spirit of Halloween alive while helping kids and our overseas troops.

How does the program work?

    * Oak Brook Smiles will buy back kids' Halloween candy at $1 per pound and get a free toothbrush
    * The candy will be shipped to US soldiers serving overseas
    * The buy-back event will be held at Oak Brook Smiles on Sunday, November 1st from 11AM to 2PM
